Hey there everyone! I'm new to the whole social aspect of umd and I saw this group and I figured I can make my first post here.
Growing up in the country and working out here I've had my fair share of tough work boots and cowgirl boots. From doing anything like diggin a irrigation ditch to taking care of the animals I'm always wearing something strong. I saw a few posts on this group about rubber boots and I guess that's a thing in other countries or even other parts of America but here where I live no one is wearing them. It's all about good leather boots for what we do and that's what I love to wear too.
I'm wondering if y'all wear boots like I do when you get all sloppy and messy. I certainty do. I got a few favorites I wear. I got some nice Carhartt work boots and some ariat boots for my casual wear and for working too if need be. Course I do have rubber boots for hunting and fishin but I ain't wear them all to much on the property or in my daily life.
I've seen lots of love for these types of tough boots from the gay male wam scene but I ain't seen it much from women. What do y'all think?
I'm not sure this is going to answer your question, but here goes; I have my Cowboy boots (Tony's) that will never ever get dirty. lol Then I have my cowboy/work boots (Arait and Justins) that do get a bit wet and muddy. But for no kidding mudding like riding quads, etc I like Muck boots or the rubber boots you get from Gander Mtn or Cabela's. They are meant to get muddy, so they are easy to clean and dry quickly.
I've got about 25 pairs of cowboy boots and none of them are above getting a good soaking or going out muddin' on my quad. Hell, that's what they were made for.
My preferred wet and messy outfit is my Wranglers, boots, a western shirt, denim jacket, cowboy hat, belt and buckle. Sometimes I wear my chaps or chinks and spurs too. Occasionally my long oilskin duster.
It's nice to here that there's a lady out there somewhere that likes getting her cowboy boots wet and messy too. One of my bucket list things to do is a deep water river crossing horseback with all my riding gear on.
The one in the red shirt and the one getting out of the pool are me. The rest I wish was me. I've always wanted to try steer wrestling because it looks like a hell of a lot of fun after a really good rainstorm. Rodeo was meant to be played outdoors - rain or shine. But hopefully in the rain.
